VeganSmart Vanilla Lavender Scone Recipe

We all know lavender is soothing and relaxing after a busy day. We often use lavender essential oils or face products to de-stress. Did you know you can actually eat lavender? It makes for a delicious treat to start your morning when baked into pastries. Ingredients…

1 1/4 cup sorghum flour

1/4 cup VeganSmart Vanilla

1/2 cup brown rice flour

1/2 cup potato starch

1 tsp. xanthan gum

4 tsp. baking powder

3 tbsp. granulated sugar

2/3 tbsp of dried rose

5 tbsp. coconut oil

1/2 cup almond milk

1/4 cup coconut cream

1 tsp. vanilla paste (or vanilla extract)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Sift through all of the powder ingredients.
  3. Toss in the loose buds.
  4. Whip together vanilla paste, coconut cream, almond milk, coconut oil.
  5. Mix this with the dry ingredients to make a dough.
  6. Chill dough for 15 minutes.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
